演出暨交流對談會
在吟詠唱頌之中
呈獻著一個由古老歌曲和身體行動交織的不尋常「表演」
自Thomas Richards從1986年與已故波蘭戲劇巨擘葛羅托斯基(Jerzy Grotowski)合作開始，35年來他的團隊不斷發展以古老歌謠作為每天工作的修煉藝行。
是次「非戲劇」演出將讓公眾目睹Thomas和團隊的獨特工作及行動研究方法：如何以古老的地中海及非洲歌謠，連結身體行動喚醒人類細微內在經驗及其潛能，讓演者在感知和在場（presence）作出跨越。
演出後將會緊接進行Thomas Richards自去年解散葛羅托斯基及湯瑪斯．李察斯研究中心 (Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards) 並開展新的藝術旅程後第一個在東南亞舉行的交流對談會，分享其研究及對表演藝術能夠如何回應時代的看法。

Songs – an open work session – allows interested individuals to witness the work of Thomas Richards on ancient song with artists who have been involved with him in daily practice long-term. Such practical work on ancient song was initiated at the Workcenter in 1986, and has been carried forward in continual development by Richards over the last 35 years. Such sessions serve those at work to help widen their knowledge of a “work on oneself” that can be carried out through a specific approach to song and action.
In this sense, Songs is not a theatre performance, it rather a kind of “theatre non theatre” wherein, as in certain old traditions, work on song and action goes together with an approach to the interiority of the human being and its potentialities. These work sessions become a means of awakening subtle aspects of inner experiencing, and can serve as a tool for the transformation of the artist’s perception and presence.
